AFL Girls U18's Football

AFL Girls U18's Football

This past week I have been lucky enough to be the AFL Photographer for the Girl's U18's National Championships that were held here in Adelaide.

The first two days were at Richmond Oval, the third day at Woodville Oval and the final day at Thebarton Oval in the morning for the first two finals, and the Grand Final was held after the Power v Nth Melbourne game at AAMI.

It was great weather all week - except for one shower on Saturday morning.

The competition was fierce in some games, with some very tough little cookies out there playing, there were some great marks, brilliant rucking, and awesome tackles. Victoria were the overall winners, and were far too strong for most of the other teams, Queensland were the runners up, with W.A. third, S.A. fourth, Vic. Development fifth and NSW/Act sixth.

Here's a few of the more "interesting" snaps from the week.

No job is too big or too small

Hello one and all... you have reached my new blog.

My name is Deborah Curtis (aka Deb) and I am an Adelaide based Photographer.
I have been an avid photographer for most of my life, over the last few years I have undertaken some studies on photography, studio lighting and photo editing, and my photography career has grown from there.

I have been the North Adelaide Football Club Photographer for the past 4 years.  I am in my third year as the Official SANFL Photographer and the Footy Budget Photographer and my weekly photos of not only the action at the football but also the fans have appeared weekly on the SANFL website.
I also take photos for Adelaide United F.C. which appear after each home game on their website.

Over the summer months I "put on my wedding hat" and thoroughly enjoying capturing the special moments of a wedding day, all the emotion, love and excitement to provide the happy couple with beautiful memories to last their lifetime.
I also love this time to capture some precious baby photos, family photos which are wonderful for Christmas gifts, making your own cards, photobooks etc.

I love being a photographer because I get to meet so many interesting and wonderful people on a daily basis, I get to share the most special days of peoples lives and I get the thrill of sports photography with so many exciting moments.
The added bonus then is to see the smiles on people's faces as they view their wedding photos or baby pictures - it is very rewarding and enjoyable being a photographer.

No job is too big or too small, I am only too happy to discuss your options with you.
